As every year, Be API participated in the WordCamp Paris 2019. The WordCamp Paris is the Parisian gathering of the WordPress community. It took place on 24, 25 and 26 April. This year, it was not 1, 2 or even 3 BeApistes who attended, but the entire agency! Looking back at the highlights of this flagship event of our open source community.
More than 30 BeApistes at WordCamp Paris 2019
If you had called the agency on April 24th... No one would have opened the door to you because of WordCamp! All of our employees surveyed the driveways, exchanged at the various stands and took advantage of the numerous expert conferences during the 3 days of the event. With their yellow T-shirt in agency colors, they cannot be missed!

A number of us were also able to participate in the round tables, called Talks, particularly on project management. The opportunity to exchange experts!

At a conference, our CTO, Nicolas Juen, proposed a feedback on the Redesign of the Free Subscriber Portal. Amaury Balmer, for his part, conducted a conference on the WP-CLI tool. You can watch their intervention in replay:
Be API actively participates in the 1st « Contributor Day » WordPress in France
What is a « Contributor Day » ? It is a day of contribution, a moment dedicated to improving the open source project that binds the community. Organisation of a « Contributor Day » This year was a first for a local WordCamp in France. The idea of this Day of Contribution was to gather all the expertise useful to all the areas covered by the open source WordPress project.
Contributors meet around different tables by area of contribution: Heart, Translation, Accessibility, Documentation, Community... At Be Api, 3 WordPress experts participated in this Day of Contribution: Amaury Balmer, founder and CEO of the agency, Nicolas Juen, Technical Director and Clément Boirie, developer back. They have especially contributed to the development of Gutenberg, the content composition tool of WordPress 5 and which changes our daily newspapers.
