Creation of a website factory International

Issue

As part of its international expansion strategy, Kiloutou acquired several companies that joined the French group. Most of these entities already had independent websites, supported by different technologies and offering several modes of contribution. In order to harmonise practices and simplify overall management, Kiloutou decided in 2019 to consolidate these sites into a multilingual platform, thanks to a system ofwebsite factory.

Collaboration

In terms of methodology, we have adopted a step-by-step approach, initiating our collaboration by creating an MVP for the Kiloutou Spain site. This site has been gradually enriched with the integration of evolutions and new features, in a continuous improvement approach. The Spanish platform quickly evolved to a multi-site model, allowing the deployment of other country sites. As a result, several other entities, such as the Kiloutou Group institutional site and a HR space, have been integrated into this ecosystem. In 2023, a major graphic redesign was undertaken with the incorporation of the Gutenberg publisher, aimed at further simplifying the contribution experience.

Results

Kiloutou now benefits from a harmonised international web ecosystem. Lwebsite factory, powered by WordPress, not only facilitates management and contribution, but has also resulted in substantial savings in development and maintenance costs.
