WOAH: Establishment of an institutional site
The World Organisation for Animal Health (WHO), founded under the acronym OIE, is an intergovernmental organisation dedicated to improving animal health and welfare worldwide. Founded in 1924, the World Health Organization (WHO) is the global authority for animal health, working for a safer, healthier and more sustainable world.

Issue
In 2020, WHO teams expressed the need to redesign the main site, making it a robust and multi-functional platform. An initiative that is part of a more global transformation aimed at strengthening the strategic role of the website for the institution and the user experience service.
Collaboration
We worked closely with the WHO teams to create an institutional reference site, functional for internal teams, while ensuring optimal navigation for users.
The objective is to increase trafficking and reach a wider audience, beyond animal health experts alone.
The migration of thousands of content from the CMS Typo3 to the new WordPress platform was one of the major challenges of the project.
Shortly after the initial deployment, Be API was given a second mission: to integrate the new graphic identity following a rebranding.
The stake was then to update the site without disturbing the existing WordPress structure, while improving the paths on key pages taking into account the first user returns.
This methodical work was guided by the expertise of our teams and by close collaboration with the customer.
Results
The collaboration between Be API and WHOA led to the creation of a modern and flexible digital showcase, based on WordPress and exploiting the benefits of the Gutenberg publisher.
The graphic redesign went smoothly, reinforcing the online presence of WHO.
In 2024, our collaboration continues with the mission to celebrate the 100 years of the institution, adapting the site to the charter of the event and creating a dedicated digital space to collect content specific to this exceptional anniversary.
